DC College Savings Plan via Payroll Deduction
The DC College Savings Plan can help you start saving for college, and by signing up for payroll deduction your contributions will be made automatically. Through this systematic investment program you easily and consistently will be saving for post-secondary education.

The DC College Savings Plan will accept employer payroll deduction from most employers who can transmit the deduction as required by the Calvert Group.

If you are not a DC Government employee and are interested in payroll deduction, have your organization's Human Resources department call the College Savings Plan Program Manager, Calvert, at 800.987.4859.

The DC College Savings Plan is available to DC Government employees via payroll deduction.

*Through 2010. If Congress extends legislation, tax-free qualified withdrawals could be made after 2010 as well. The Government of the District of Columbia does not guarantee investments in the program and investments may lose value. In addition, tax benefits for the program have limitations and tax laws are subject to change. Depending upon the laws of the investor's home state, favorable tax treatment for investing in a Section 529 College Savings Plan may be limited to investments made in a Section 529 College Savings Plan offered by the investor's home state. Read the DC Program Disclosure Booklet and consult with your tax advisor before you invest.
